Heterodontosaurus tucki
Winner - Lanzendorf Paleoart Prize for 3-Dimensional Art, Society of Vertebrate Paleontology, 2012.
I started with the restored skull as an armature for this model. The sculpture process was documented with a simple time-lapse setup; I was able to work out the complicated occlusion of the beak, fangs, and molars, while incorporating vulture-like "cheeks", and bristly quills similar to those of Tianyulong. The skull and flesh model were created under the direction of paleontologist Paul Sereno as a part of his large study of heterodontosaurids:
