The Spinosaurus project involved a large and dedicated group of paleontologists, technicians, and artists from around the world. I created this skull first as a digital file in ZBrush, which was then machined from high density foam in multiple pieces at life size. I assembled and hand-refined the machine carved pieces, and then developed the molding and casting process for this enormous skull. The skull is mounted with the skeleton in a traveling exhibit dedicated to Spinosaurus.
